Why Maxon?

Branding is in
our DNA

Lou Maxon founded the storied agency Maxon, Inc., working with the likes of General Electric, Gillette, Heinz, Lincoln and more in Detroit and New York in 1927. Crafting groundbreaking brand advertising was present in the graphic novel style Gillette ads and highly crafted illustrative brands and campaigns for more than two dozen client partners. Maxon, Inc. created the Gillette Cavalcade of Sports and convinced their clients to sponsor boxing matches (fight nights) and was the first brand to sponsor the World Series. Today, Lou Maxon carries on the the familial torch for storytelling in relaunching Maxon after serving as a creative director and designer for agencies, brands and startups for 20+ years. He brings the same rigor and passion for the work, spirit of giving back and exceptionally high bar for crafted storytelling.

We share a passion and background for storytelling with backgrounds in journalism and narrative storytelling. We’ve published academically and commercially in journals, local, regional and national publication and books. We’ve crafted transformative and transactional storytelling solutions across analog, digital, experiential for some of the top consumer and enterprise brands in the world. Our work has been shortlisted and selected in top awards shows for creative excellence in narrative and visual storytelling. We partner with world-class collaborators in animation, live-action, motion, photography and more to bring your stories to life.

We’ve partnered with non-profit organizations in the Pacific Northwest for over 20+ years to directly assist in raising funds through development efforts. We work with organizations to amplify and elevate their reach to have greater positive impact in the communities they serve. We are always on the lookout for organizations looking to elevate and evolve their development and storytelling. In addition, we give annually to causes that support positive forces in our surrounding communities.
