I like the impossible because there is less competition.

We live and work in the Pacific Northwest and commute and create inside Maxon studio, a one-of-a-kind kinetic rail car on our privately built railway on 41 acres of second-growth forestland.

Designed with Olson Kundig, the studio features inspired work spaces including a second story library and study with a comprehensive artifacts and book collection accessible only by ladder. Our town is named after the original Carnation Milk Company which is more than fitting for us living in a place named after a historic and iconic brand.

Featured in architectural digest, dezeen, Fast Company, The New York Times, Treehugger and Trains magazine, this original and custom invention and feat of engineering provides a
daily journey coupled with adventure and curiosity, the same attributes we search for in client partners we collaborate with.

Lou is a pure, down-to-the-bone creative visionary. There are no cut-and-dry, yes-man ideas here. Lou sees beyond the medium and beyond the temporary into the memorable. He can tease out the stories we tell through brands, and leaves us with more stories to experience as they evolve. There is no one better at preserving the romantic core of the creative process and bringing this humanism into the business world. The best brands, after all, are the ones that celebrate the lasting nature of the human experience. VP Product
